Eggs are part of the traditional Easter celebrations. For Christians, they are another reminder of new life.
To make a little nest of eggs for Easter.
You will need
75g butter
2tbsp gold syrup
150g chocolate
150g puffed rice cereal
1 few chocolate twigs
Marzipan or foil-wrapped chocolate eggs
Bowl
Wooden spoon
Paper cake cases
Teaspoon
- Ask a grown-up to help you cook
- Always wash your hands before you begin
- Put the butter, syrup and chocolate in a bowl. Microwave in 30-second bursts until the butter melts.
- Add the cereal and stir the mixture.
- Spoon the chocolate mixture into the cases.
- Shape the ‘nests’ with a teaspoon
- Push in pieces of chocolate twig. Leave to set.
- Wash your hands. Then shape the marzipan eggs. Place the eggs in the nests.
